Behavioral Health Services

Welcome to the behavioral health services of the Health Alliance.  Our behavioral health services have a variety of programs, including inpatient psychiatry, partial hospitalization, outpatient mental health, and alcohol and drug treatment:  The Christ Hospital, The University Hospital, The St. Luke Hospitals, and The Fort Hamilton Hospital.

The University Hospital offers a variety of behavioral health services.

Services and programs include:

  • Inpatient Psychiatric Services
  • Mobile Crisis Team
  • Psychiatric Emergency Services

The inpatient psychiatric services include general adult inpatient units and a psychobiology research unit. Patients may have an opportunity to participate in studies of psychiatric medications.

The University Hospital also offers services for psychiatric emergencies for individuals in crisis, including individuals experiencing suicidal and/or homicidal feelings. Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES) is open 24 hours a day and is located in the emergency department at The University Hospital. A mobile crisis team is available through PES to respond to emergency situations 24 hours a day. No appointment is necessary.
