Education Assistance
Tuition Assistance Plan The Tuition Assistance plan helps you pay for ongoing education that is related to the job you do at the Health Alliance or is related to health care and in accordance with all terms documented in the Tuition Assistance Policy. You can receive 100% reimbursement for eligible course work when you receive a grade of C or better at an accredited institution. Reimbursement may also be available for "testing out" of classes. The plan does not cover credentialing or expenses related to maintaining certification requirements.
If you are a full-time associate, the plan pays for eligible courses to a maximum of $3,000 per calendar year (4,000 after three years of service). Part-time associates may receive up to $1,500 ($2,000 after three years of service) per plan year. Benefits are based on your status at the time of the approval and you must be actively employed at the end of the academic period in order to be reimbursed. All reimbursements will be applied against the allowance for the calendar year in which they are paid to you rather than the year the course is approved. You are required to provide copies of your official grades and bill.
To be eligible for reimbursement, your course work should be approved by the Health Alliance Benefits Department before the start of class. Please read the Tuition Assistance Policy, available in your human resources department before submitting your application.
Who is Covered You are eligible to participate in the Tuition Assistance Plan on the first of the month following 28 days of service. You must be eligible to participate in the program before the first day of class.
